AUDIO 201L Advanced Audio Lab Workshop (Advanced Lab Class)

30 hours of lab [Prerequisite: AUDIO 101L and AUDIO 201 or this course can be taken concurrently with AUDIO 201]

This is a hands-on-equipment lab course. The lab course is taught using an individual, one-student-at-a-time method. The student may come in at any time that is convenient ( from Tuesday to Friday 11 AM - 7 PM ) for the 3-hour lesson. In the Advanced Lab Workshop, students will -

• set up several types of MIDI systems and MIDI interconnections
• spend three weeks using and learning Pro Tools
• practice MIDI music sequencing set up a complete computer audio system
• use Steinberg Cubase software
• use MOTU Digital Performer software
• use Propellerhead Reason software
• use Steinberg Nuendo software
• use Cakewalk Sonar software
• use Sonic Foundry ACID software
• use Propellerhead ReCycle software
• use virtual instruments use virtual plug-in effects
• use virtual samplers
• do video editing with Sonic Foundry Vegas Video software
• use Steinberg WaveLab software for mastering
• burn a CD of all their mixing projects
